Rolex “Full-Set 1675/8 18kt” GMT-Master

Offered here is a beautiful and rare Rolex GMT-Master, reference 1675/8 in 18kt yellow gold, circa 1970. The 1675/8 is the second iteration of the all-gold GMT-Master, following its introduction in the late 1950s in the reference 6542. Further, this particular example comes complete with its original Rolex box, and two sets of “punched” Warranty Certificates, originally sold in 1972.

The condition on this Rolex GMT-Master is great. The case has been lightly polished in the past, showing thick and even lugs, and original beveled edges still prevalent.  The original maroon dial shows no major flaws or chips.  In similar fashion, the watch retains its original tritium lume on both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color.  Further, the watch retains its original all-brown GMT-insert, aged with a lovely fading set in.

Finally, the watch is fitted on a Rolex Swiss Rivet 7206 bracelet with 80 endlinks; the bracelet has 11 full links and almost no stretch.
