Description
Up for grabs is an uncommon Rolex Day-Date, Ref. 118238, born with a rare “Onyx” dial. This example dates to 2000, and is housed in 18kt yellow gold. Further, the watch comes very complete with its large Rolex presidential box and Warranty Certificate (with designated “Onyx” on the papers), hangtags (with serial), Day-Date and service booklets, cleaning cloths, and Rolex notebook.
The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is excellent. The case appears unpolished, retaining its factory original high polish finish, with thick and even lugs, and normal wear from use over the year, but still retaining its original caseback sticker. The onyx dial is perfect, with no damage or cracks whatsoever.
The watch comes on its original hidden-clasp 18kt Rolex Swiss bracelet, with very no stretch, and will fit an approximate 7.25″ wrist (six removable screws).
