Rolex Daytona “Rusty” By Artisans De Geneve

It’s no secret that we am not the biggest fans of modified watches, but occasionally there are some that spark our interest. Some may say that it is sacrilegious to completely rebuild a new Daytona, but Artisans De Geneve is a brand that modifies watches better than anyone. We like to think of them as the “Singer” of the watch world. Where Singer takes old cars and uses modern materials to craft a new driving experience, ADG takes new watches and modifies them to give them the aesthetics and personality of a vintage watch, per their customers’ wildest dreams. This particular version, dubbed by them as “Rusty”, has a case that has been slimmed down, bereft of its original crown guards, fit with vintage inspired screw-down pushers, and a smaller crown inspired by the reference 6263 Daytona. ADG developed a process for creating that “tropical” oxidized patina on the subdials by sending the dial to a tropical humid location and letting the dials “age” for about ten weeks. These watches are personalized by the owner, as each watch was aged until the owner was satisfied with the patina, making each example truly bespoke.

This example comes in good used condition with some signs of wear, and comes complete as a full-set with original box, papers, and accessories.
