SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a Rolex Datejust, circa 1964 (1.0m serial), bearing the reference 1601. However, what sets this Datejust apart from most other examples is the use of “Dauphine”, sword-like hands, as opposed to the regular stick-style hands, which were scarcely used by Rolex. This example further features a silver sunburst dial and “flutted” bezel. The condition on this Rolex Datejust is excellent. The case has been previously lightly polished, but retains thick and even lugs with minimal wear. The dial is in great condition, with no flaws. Finally, the original tritium lume is present in both dial and hands, aged to a golden and attractive orange color.
The watch comes fitted on its original Jubilee bracelet, dated to the 2nd quarter of 1964, with 55 endlinks.
