Rolex “6265 Panda” Daytona

SOLD

Description

Offered here is a lovely and extremely early example of Rolex Daytona, Ref. 6265 (circa 1971; 2.8m serial). This example is outfitted with a panda-silver “ROC” dial, and features screwdown pushers. This Rolex Daytona is in good vintage condition. The case seems to have been very lightly polished in the past, showing thick and even lugs. The dial is in very nice condition, with no major wear or marks visible.  Further, the original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, and well-preserved, with nice round plots (with very slight loss to the 3 o’clock plot), aged to a nice yellow color.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex C&I rivet bracelet, dated later to 1976, and has 12 full links with minor stretch.  Please Note: the screwdown pushers have been replaced at some point in the past with MK3/service pushers, presumably while it was being serviced by Rolex in the past.
