SOLD
Description
Offered here is an exceptional early example of Rolex Daytona, Ref. 6239 (circa 1967; 1.6m serial), with a lovely “panda” dial (white with black registers). This particular example features an early dial variant with a “big” Daytona print, also used on the reference 6240.
This Daytona is in excellent vintage condition. The case has been very lightly polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs. The dial is in beautiful condition, with no wear or damage. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color, with nice and full lume plots and no major loss to them, as is typically found on these early Daytonas.
The watch comes equipped on its original Rolex Swiss folded-link 7836 bracelet with extremely rare and sought-after 71N endlinks, dated to 1967, and has 13 full links with very light stretch.
