Offered here is an incredibly Rolex Day-Date, reference 19019, circa 1980, under the “Oysterquartz” line. These quartz watches were produced in the 1980s during the “quartz crisis”, and have risen in popularity as of late as an interesting footnote in horological history. This particular Rolex Oysterquartz Day-Date is housed in 18kt white gold – a rarity in itself – and fit with a wood-grain dial, a combination very seldom found. The watch itself remains in great condition: the case has likely been detailed in the past but retaining sharp lines/bevels on the lugs, and the factory wood dial shows no cracks or flaws. The bracelet has no stretch and will fit an approximate 7.2″ wrist.
