Rolex “1803 Rose Gold Arabic” Day-Date

Up for grabs is a breathtaking and incredibly rare Rolex Day-Date, reference 1803, circa 1960. This particular Day-Date was produced in 18kt rose gold, and made specifically for the Arab/Arabic market, fit with an Arabic dial and day/date disks. Very few of these special Day-Dates are known to exist, and very rarely come to market. This particular example may be the best example of this configuration known and was discovered fresh-to-market last year in a small jewelry shop in upstate New York.

As previously stated, the condition of this epic Day-Date is likely the best known example. The case remains unpolished and sharp, with minimal wear for a 65 year-old watch. The dial remains perfect, with no major wear or visible damage. Likewise, the original radium lume remains completely in tact on the dial and original early alpha hands. Finally, the original Rolex presidential rose gold bracelet remains tight with no stretch, is dated to the 4th quarter of 1960, and will fit an approximate 7.5″ wrist.
