Rolex “1680 Tiffany & Co.” Submariner

Offered here is a very rare and special example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680.  This Submariner dates to 1979, towards the end of production for the “white” 1680s.  However, what sets this Rolex Submariner apart from the others is the fact that it was sold by the retailer “Tiffany & Co.”, back during an era when Rolex watches were sold through Tiffany stores.  Tiffany signed Rolex are tremendously collectible and very difficult to find.

This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case, while worn over the years from use, remains unpolished with original beveled edges visible. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, marks, etc.  The tritium lume is original and present on both the dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color. The original and period correct bezel insert is in likewise good condition, with no major wear.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Oyster 93150 bracelet with 580 endlinks, and has 10 full links with virtually no stretch.
