Rolex "16750 Full-Set" GMT-Master

SOLD

Rolex “16750 Full-Set” GMT-Master

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master, Ref. 16750, circa 1984.  The reference 16750 was a transitional reference for Rolex, from the 1675, which introduced their new Caliber 3075 movement, and changed the date function to a quick-set.  Further, this example has a “gloss” dial, which was Rolex’s departure from their traditional “matte” dial.  Further, this example comes complete as a “full-set”, including its original Rolex box, “punched” Warranty Certificate, and Rolex Service card and receipts.

This Rolex GMT-Master is in great vintage condition.  The case has been lightly polished, likely by Rolex while serviced by them in 2011. The dial is in great condition, retaining all of its factory gloss with no chips, scratches, spidering or marks.  The original tritium lume, present on both the dial and hands, aged to a nice cream color.

The watch comes equipped on an original Rolex Oyster 78360 bracelet, with 580 endlinks, and has 11 full links with no stretch.
