SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a great example of the Rolex Sea-Dweller, the Reference 16600, which was a continuation from the Reference 16660, with a new and upgraded Caliber 3135 movement (replacing the old caliber 3035). This particular example was produced in 1991, and features a tritium dial. The 16600 Sea-Dweller retains features as the 16660, with the same sapphire crystal and larger helium valve that allowed it to descend to the deeper depth of 1220 meters/4000 feet underwater.
This Rolex Sea-Dweller is in very nice vintage condition. The case has appears unpolished (albeit worn), with the factory beveled edges still visible, and a thick and beefy case. The dial is beautiful, with no flaws or cracking to the lacquer, and still glossy as it left the factory. The watch retains its original tritium lume on the dial, aged to a beautiful creamy yellow color; the hands have been professionally color-matched to the dial. The watch comes on its original Rolex 93160 Oyster bracelet, with 11 full links and minimal stretch.
