Rolex "16528 4-Line" Daytona

SOLD

Rolex “16528 4-Line” Daytona

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an incredible example of the incredibly popular Rolex “Zenith” Daytona, so-called for its movement made by the brand, Zenith.  Rolex introduced the automatic movement chronograph in 1987, using a movement manufactured by Zenith, as it was the industry’s only self-winding chronograph movement that met Rolex’s high quality standards.  This particular example was produced early in their production in 1988 (L serial), and fitted with a one year, L-series-only “4-liner” dial.

This Rolex Daytona is in amazing vintage condition.  The case appears unpolished and sharp, with no major wear (the bottom left lug shows one minor ding), and retains its original caseback sticker. The dial is in mint condition, with no flaws or marks.  Likewise, the original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice pale yellow color.  The bezel shows no detail/color loss.  The Rolex gold Oyster 78668 bracelet has 11 full links and no stretch.
