Rolex “1003 18kt” Oyster Perpetual

Up for grabs is a very rare and early oversized (36mm) Oyster Perpetual by Rolex in solid 18kt yellow gold, given the reference 1003. This watch was produced in the late 1950s, and this reference was larger than the standard fare 34mm. The condition on this rare Rolex Oyster Perpetual is excellent, with a sharp and seemingly unpolished case, and beautiful sunburst silver dial with original radium luminous on both dial and original alpha hands. Further, the watch remains on its incredibly rare 1950s Rolex rivet bracelet produced by Gay Freres, dated to 1956, and has 11 full links with almost no stretch. Please Note: one of the endlinks to the bracelet is not stamped “76” and may have been replaced at some point in the past.
