Patek Philippe “Full-Set 3520J Gubelin” Calatrava

Description

Offered here is a lovely example of a classic Patek Philippe Calatrava, the reference 3520.  The reference 3520 was introduced in 1973, and it was produced in a variety of metals.  This Calatrava reference was made in a precious metal 32mm case, featuring a white enamel dial and a “Clous de Paris” hobnail bezel.  The present example was produced in 18kt yellow gold, and co-signed and sold by the famous Swiss retailer, Gubelin.  Further, this particular Calatrava comes complete as a full-set, and remains with its original Patek Philippe inner and outer box, Warranty Certificate, booklets, and even the original Gubelin sales receipt, showing the original date of sale in 1983.

This Patek Philippe Calatrava is very nice, overall well-preserved.  The case does not show any obvious signs of polishing, developing a warm patina.  The original enamel dial shows a few very light hairlines, only visible under a loupe and at an angle.  Additionally, the watch remains with its original matching yellow gold Patek tang buckle.
