SOLD
Description
Offered here is an excellent example of a Patek Philippe “Jumbo” Nautilus, the Reference 3700/1, originally sold in 1977 (as mentioned in the Archive of the Extracts, accompanying the sale). These watches have exploded in popularity as of late, and are considered by many to be the best design of Gerald Genta. This Patek Phillipe Nautilus is in great vintage condition. The case has been previously polished, but still shows nicely beveled edges, seemingly very lightly done. The dial is in excellent condition, with no marks or scratches, and has aged to a lovely tropical brown color on parts of the dial, giving it a very unique and distinct look. The original tritium lume is present on the dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow. The bracelet is likewise in great condition, and will fit an approximate 7″ wrist.
