Patek Philippe "3700/1 Gubelin" Nautilus

SOLD

Patek Philippe “3700/1 Gubelin” Nautilus

SOLD

Description

Offered here is an excellent example of a Patek Philippe “Jumbo” Nautilus, the Reference 3700/1, circa 1970s, co-signed and sold by the famous Swiss retailer, Gubelin.  These watches have exploded in popularity as of late, and are considered by many to be the best design of Gerald Genta.   This Patek Phillipe Nautilus is in great vintage condition. The case appears unpolished, with the exception of a light brush to the top of the bezel to remove some light scuffs. The dial is in nice, original condition, with some aging to the dial finish showing the brass plate underneath around the markers, as is commonly seen on these watches. The original tritium lume is present on the dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow.  The bracelet is likewise in great condition, and will fit an approximate 7.25″ wrist.

According to the Extract of the Archives (included in the sale), this watch was produced in 1977 and subsequently sold in 1978.
