SOLD
Description
Offered here is a rare Patek Phillipe, reference 3587/2, circa 1970s, during what is now known of as the “quartz crisis”. Only 6000 Beta 21 movements were made, split amongst other brands, such as Rolex and Piaget; Patek utilized allegedly less than 500 of these movements. This design deviated from Patek’s usual dressed-down elegance – the watch is a staggering 43mm, and wears like a modern, contemporary watch on the wrist.
This Patek Phillipe Beta 21 is in excellent condition. The gold case and bracelet show little to no wear whatsoever. The champagne sunburst dial is in great condition, with only light wear around the edge of the dial. The original integrated “cheese grater” bracelet will fit an approximate 7.5″ wrist.
