In the early 1940s, Omega made these watches, the Ref. 2149, for both civilian and U.S. Army use. To meet military specifications, Omega used robust movements and they were put in heavy steel cases and often featured luminous “eccentric” dials, for visibility.
The watch offered here is a civilian issue, and in excellent condition. The dial is in mint condition, and the case appears untouched. The dial has aged, and shows a patina-cream shiny tropical color.
