SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a rare, and extremely popular early execution Omega Seamaster 300, part of the “Holy Trinity” of Omega sports watches, bearing the Reference 2913-3. According to an Extract of Omega’s Archives (included in the sale), this example dates to 1959, and was delivered to the United States. It also includes the original warranty booklet (not filled out).
This Omega Seamaster 300 is in great vintage condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, with its original beveled edges still visible; the original bakelite bezel shows virtually no wear. The dial shows light aging, but no flaws, marks, scratches, etc. The original radium lume is present on the dial, aged to a lovely orange color; the broad-arrow hands appear to have been relumed a long time ago, and glow for a couple seconds when exposed to UV light before extinguishing.
