SOLD
Description
This is a lovely example of one of the most sought-after vintage chronographs on the market right now. Movado made some stellar chronographs in the 1940-1960s, using beautiful and unique M90 and M95 in-house movements. This “reverse panda” version, featuring a black gloss dial with white registers, is by and far one of the most popular, coveted by collectors. Further, what sets this particular example apart from the crowd is the fact that is double/co-signed by the Australian retailer “Howes”, a trait rarely seen on vintage Movado chronographs.
The present example is in great vintage condition. The case appears unpolished, or if it was, it was done very sparingly/lightly. The dial is in great condition, with minimal wear, and still retaining its factory gloss. Finally, the original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color, with only minor loss to some of the plots on the dial.
