SOLD
Description
Offered here is an exceptional and rare chronograph, produced by Longines in 1935. Powered by an early iteration of the Valjoux 22, Longines’ Cal. 15, these monopusher chronographs were fitted with porcelain/enamel dials. Very few have survived in such exceptional condition over the years, and they are scarce to come by in general.
This Longines chronograph is in excellent condition. The gold case does not show signs of polishing. The enamel dial does not show any cracks or hairlines, and appears untouched.
Longines has confirmed production of this watch, and states that it was first delivered on 2nd April 1936 to Mr Girot, the Longines importer for Spain. The watch also comes fitted with a period correct, solid gold Longines buckle.
