Jaeger "4 ATM" Chronograph

SOLD

Jaeger “4 ATM” Chronograph

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a rare Jaeger (Jaeger LeCoultre, but made exclusively for the American market) “4ATM” chronograph, circa 1960s, given the reference number E.13001. 4ATM is a reference to the inscription on the back of the caseback, denoting its water resistance of four atmospheres (40 meters).  These chronographs share the same exact design language as their JLC “Shark” counterparts, and also sure the use of the same Valjoux 72 movement.

The condition of this Jaeger 4ATM chronograph is excellent.  The case remains sharp and unpolished; likewise, the dial remains perfect, with no flaws, and the watch retains its original tritium lume on both dial and hands, aged to a nice light yellow color.
