Hugex Gilt “Tropical & Breguet” Chronograph

Description

Up for grabs is a stunning and exceptionally rare Hugex chronograph. Housed in a waterproof 38mm “Spillmann” case with faceted lugs, this watch stands out with its incredible dial. The dial – originally black gloss – has aged to a “tropical” brown, accentuating the gilt color of the numerals and inner and outer telemeter scales (also sometimes referred to as a “snail” dial). Further, the numerals printed in gilt on this dial are “breguet” numerals, so-called for this particular distinctive style.

This Hugex chronograph is in great condition. The spillmann case appears unpolished, and is still very sharp. The dial has aged brown, and has amazing character.
