This is an immensely popular and attractive Heuer Carrera, taken from the “Dato 45” grouping of Carrera circa 1960s, so-called for the position of a date window at 9 o’clock. The Dato Carreras came in a variety of configurations, with the Dato 45 proving to be the most desirable. This example is fitted with a white dial with white register and 3 o’clock. Further, this particular example stands out due to the fact that it is co-signed “Beyer”, meaning it was made for and retailed by the famous retailer based out of Zurich, Switzerland.
This Heuer Dato 45 Carrera is in excellent condition. The case is unpolished, and the original bevels are still sharp and prevalent. The silver sunburst dial is mint, and has no visible flaws. The original tritium lume is still present in both the dial and hands, and has aged to a lovely yellow color.
