Up for grabs is an exceptional and rare 2nd execution Heuer Carrera, Ref. 2447S, co-signed by the retailer Abercrombie & Fitch. Today, we know Abercrombie & Fitch as a retailer of [questionably] fashion apparel; however, back in the 1960s, A&F was a retailer of sporting (diving, hiking, adventuring, etc.) equipment, and was well-known and respected in this arena. In collaboration with Heuer, they retailed some of their watches in their stores, such as the Carrera and Autavia models. These watches rarely come to market, and have become very difficult to find.
This Heuer-Abercrombie Carrera is extremely well-preserved. The case is unpolished and razor sharp, with the serial still visible between the lugs (93xxx). The dial is near-flawless, with only the lightest wear visible in the registers under a loupe. The original tritium lume is in amazing condition, present on both dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow.
