Heuer “1163T Jo Siffert” Autavia

Description

Offered here is an excellent example of a Heuer Autavia, nicknamed the “Jo Siffert”, as this model was worn by the famous race car driver in the 1970s.  This example is a “Mark 6”, the final execution made by Heuer with this color scheme. This Siffert Autavia has been exceptionally well preserved.  The case is unpolished, showing the original case sunburst finish, and beveled egdes.  The dial is flawless, with no marks, scratches, etc.  The original tritium lume is still present in both hands and dial, aging to a golden yellow, with only minor loss in the 3 and 9 o’clock plots.  The serial and reference numbers are cleary visible between the lugs (serial 22`xxxx).  The watch comes fitted on its original Gay Freres “beads of rice” bracelet, with correct HLF endlinks, and will fit a large wrist, appx. 7.5-7.7″.
