Cyma "Gilt Pulsations" Clamshell Chronograph

SOLD

Cyma “Gilt Pulsations” Clamshell Chronograph

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an extremely rare Cyma chronograph, circa 1940s, housed in a large, 38mm “clamshell” case, patented by Gallet as the first waterproof chronograph case.  This example is powered by the Valjoux 22 movement, and features a very uncommon gilt and two-tone dial, in copper and black, with an outer pulsations scale around the edges of the dial.

This Cyma chronograph is in excellent condition.  The case is unpolished and very sharp.  The dial is in good condition, only showing minor wear consistent with the watch’s age and use.  Caseback and movement signed Cyma.
