Offered here is a rare Breitling Co-Pilot chronograph, nicknamed the “Jean Claude Killy”, as the famous skiier was known to where this exact model when he won the gold in all three Alpine skiing events at the 1968 Olympics in Grenoble. These watches, intended for use by pilots, were considered extremely large for the era, and have become a staple in the Breitling collector’s arsenal.
This Breitling Co-Pilot is in excellent vintage condition. The case is unpolished and sharp, maintaining its original bevels in the lugs. The dial is immaculate, with no flaws. Further, the original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color on the dial, and a slightly darker color in the hands.
