Description
Up for grabs is a stunning and rare Bovet Monorattrapante chronograph produced during the 1940s. This watch is particularly rare, as it is the 38mm steel version (many were housed in smaller chromed case), featuring a waterproof snap-back case, labeled “impermeable” and big and firm pump pushers. The dial is a glossy gilt dial with radium markers and numerals.
This Bovet Monorattrapante is in excellent vintage condition. The case is unpolished and razor sharp. The dial still maintains most of its gloss, with only very light “matting” visible under a loupe. The dial also shows shades of brown in sunlight. The original radium lume is still present in both dial and hands, aging to a yellow patina color, and still reading strongly on a geiger meter.
