SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a very rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, reference 56175TR, circa 1990s. This reference was made in a 33mm case and with AP’s Caliber 2612 quartz movement. However, what makes this watch special is the combination of metals used in the production of the watch: tantalum and rose gold. Tantalum is a more dense metal than steel, and is highly corrosive-resistant. Due to its darker color (similar to titanium), it meshes very well with the tones of rose gold, giving the watch a very unique look. This particular Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is in good, albeit used vintage condition. The case is sharp and unpolished, in addition to the bezel, showing wear consistent with use throughout, as well as scuffs to the bracelet; this watch can be detailed to look perfect upon request of the buyer, considering it remains unpolished. The dial is free of any flaws, and likewise, the original tritium lume remains present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice warm yellow color. The bracelet will fit an approximate 7″ wrist.
