Description
Offered here is an uncommon Aquastar Geneve Deepstar, circa 1960s. This diver stands out for its thick steel case, and beautiful sunburst-blue dial. Aquastar was founded by scuba diver Frédéric Robert in 1962. Jean Richard, Aquastar’s parent company, filed a patent in 1958 the brand’s first dive watch – the Aquastar.
The watch itself is in great vintage condition, one of the nicest Aquastars we have seen. The case is unpolished and very sharp. The dial is near perfect, with light patina/aging. The original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow on the dial, and a shade of light yellow on the hands.
