Description
Omega is a powerhouse and institution in the wide world of watches. They are well known for their various watches made for combat units in Britain and the United States, as the official time-keepers of the Olympics, and as a favorite watch of James Bond. Am I missing anything? Oh yea…they made the watch THAT WENT TO THE MOON!
During the 1940s and 1950s, they made many different watches. Among those watches were dressier, time-only watches, such as the Reference 2639 offered here today.
This present example is in absolutely beautiful. It is outfitted with an uncommon black gloss dial, and printed with gold or “gilt” type and indices. It is in fantastic condition, maintaining all of its original gloss. The watch has lume markers and hands, and is original. The case has been lightly polished, but the lugs are still thick and even.
