Description
Up for grabs is the seldom seen and immensely popular LIP “Paul Newman” chronograph, so-called for its resemblance to a Paul Newman Rolex Daytona, sharing the same register layout as the latter. These chronographs were produced during the 1970s, and have gained cult status amongst collectors, fitted with a gorgeous blue, sector-style dial.
This LIP chronograph is in immaculate condition. The case shows no signs of polishing or wear. The dial is near-perfect, with only one tiny mark between 12 and 1 o’clock in the solid blue area, barely noticeable. The watch comes equipped on an original, LIP-signed blue leather strap.
