Description
According to Dodane’s website, the Type 21 was created “[b]y official command from the French General Staff, the House of Dodane developed [the Type 21] in the 1950’s. The “fly-back” function was the principal requirement in the stringent specifications then set out for the chronograph by the Ministry of Defence.” These watches, adorned by their cult following, have become hard to find in good, original condition. This example further stands out for the many FG markings on the caseback.
This Dodane Type 21 is in exceptional condition. The case appears unpolished and untouched. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws in sight. The original lume is still present on both dial and hands, aging to a warm brown patina.
