Rolex "Two-Tone Root Beer" GMT-Master

SOLD

Rolex “Two-Tone Root Beer” GMT-Master

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a lovely example of the popular “Root Beer” Rolex GMT-Master, in two-tone steel and yellow gold, circa 1972.  This example features the so-called “matte” dial variant, which features a rich maroon color.

This Rolex GMT-Master is in great vintage condition.  The case has likely been very lightly polished in the past, but still retains incredible and thick chamfers/beveled edges.  The dial is gorgeous, with no wear/damage whatsoever. The original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice pumpkin orange color.  The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Two-Tone USA Jubilee band, which shows stretch commensurate with the aging of these bands, but is still wearable.
