Description
Zodiac released the Sea Wolf in 1953, marketed as the world’s first purpose-built “dive watch”. They are an iconic line of the Zodiac family, a company formed by Ariste Calame and later named Zodiac in 1908.
This is a beautiful and colorful example of the Sea Wolf, which came in a variety of iterations. This example stands out for its vibrant orange colors on the dial, and light blue bakelite bezel. The original black gloss dial is in excellent condition, with one minor knick on the chapter ring near the 7 o’clock marker. The case appears unpolished, with scratches consistent with wear. The original movement and caseback are both signed (pictures can be provided upon request). The hands are likely replaced, but match the watch very well.
