Up for grabs is a true Zenith grail: the Caliber 135 “Port Royal” Chronometre. According to Monochrome, the Caliber 135 included several innovative technical features that enabled it to win numerous prestigious awards and prizes, including an unprecedented 5 consecutive Neuchâtel Observatory chronometry prizes from 1950 to 1954. Further, the present example is in true, collector’s grade condition and is “LNOS”, or like new old stock. The case is unpolished, razor sharp, with no scratches or tool marks, and has begun to develop an attractive patina. Likewise, the dial is mint, with seemingly no wear or aging.
