Vacheron Constantin "4737" Cicciolatone

Vacheron Constantin “4737” Cicciolatone

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a lovely Vacheron Constantin “Cicciolatone”, bearing the reference 4737.  The reference 4737 was produced throughout the 1950s, and an alleged 335 examples were made in total, 269 of which were in yellow gold.  While likely more accurately classified under the Toledo line, this model has been given the moniker of the Cicciolatone by collectors, as the case shape resembles square-shaped chocolates.  According to Vacheron, this particular example was produced in 1953, and born with this “arabic numeral” dial; at present, we are unable to find another example online with this exact two-tone arabic-numeral dial!

This Vacheron Constantin Cicciolatone is in excellent vintage condition.  The case does not show any signs of polishing, with crisp and strong hallmarks.  Further, the two-tone dial shows virtually no wear, overall very crisp and well-preserved.
