SOLD
Description
This is a stunning example of a rare oversized Universal Geneve Tri-Compax, circa 1961-62. Housed in a 35mm and 18kt yellow gold case, these watches were some of the most complicated and advanced wristwatches for their time. Further, this particular example stands out for its incredibly rare and eye-catching two-tone “linen” dial – the dial changes from light to dark silver depending on the angle it is viewed at.
This example is in great condition. The yellow gold case appears unpolished and sharp, and shows minimal wear. The silver, two-tone dial is very preserved, showing virtually no wear.
