Description
Universal Geneve released the first chronographic wristwatch in 1917, changing the game forever. Years later, they released their tri-compax in the 1940s, hosting a three register chronograph, a moon phase indicator, date function, and apertures displaying the day of the week, and the month.
Look, Universal Geneve has become a household name – a well-known entity – and i’m not going to harp on their history, or how they are probably the most popular vintage watch brand on the market right now. You know that, i know that.
Let’s get down to brass taxes; prices on tri-compax models have seen what seems like exponential growth. Finding decent examples in good, working condition is becoming harder and harder. Our example offered today is a nice example, with a dial that has seen its fair share on sunsets, excursions, and who knows what else. The previous owner(s) of this watch definitely enjoyed it. In addition, it has a nice case, with thick and even lugs, and all functions are completely operational.
Don’t sleep on this one! We are offering this watch at a fraction of what comparable examples are fetching.
