SOLD
Description
Offered here is one of the nicest examples we’ve ever seen of a first execution (MK1) Universal Geneve Space Compax, reference 884104/01, circa 1966. Powered by the venerable Valjoux 72, the Space Compax was marketed as one of Universal Geneve’s versatile sports chronographs. This Universal Geneve Space Compax is in excellent condition. The case appears unpolished, with thick and even lugs, and the original bevel is in perfect condition. The dial is mint, with no flaws. The original tritium lume is present in both dial and hands, aging to a beautiful golden yellow. The reference and serial number is still visible clearly on the caseback, which have been confirmed by an Extract of the Archives included in the sale.
Finally, the watch is fitted on a Universal Geneve Jubilee JB Champion bracelet, and will fit an approximate 7.5″ wrist.
