Description
This is a reference 222101 Universal Geneve Compax in absolutely mint condition. The dial is a “linen” dial, so-dubbed for its ribbed like appearance; it is also considered a “step” dial due to the separate tachymeter ring that sits as a separate piece on top of the actual dial, giving the dial a step-like appearance. Both of these features are rare and highly desirable. Aside from these attributes, the dial is in absolutely mint condition, with no scratches, pitting, etc., and all lume plots in tact. The hands have lost a tiny bit of their lume, but retain most of the original lume and are in otherwise good condition. The case has thick and even lugs, and if it was ever polished, it was done lightly. The serial numbers are no longer visible, but the print “stainless steel” can be seen under a loupe.
These watches do not come available. When they do, it is hard to find them in all-original and mint condition. This is one of the hottest Compax on the planet, so don’t sleep!
