One of, if not the most sought after Universal Geneve chronograph watch is the one you see before you today. Dubbed the “Nina Rindt”, after a picture of the the model-wife of racecar driver Jochen Rindt wearing one started making the rounds on the web, this Valjoux 72 powered chronograph is one that collectors salivate over.
I don’t think we need to tell you how special and in-demand this watch really is, and without going too far down the watch-geek rabbit hole, i’ll shut up and let the pictures do the talking. If you clicked on this link and are considering buying this watch, there’s really nothing more we can say to sway your affections.
As a final note, this particular Nina is an early version of the model with the applied UG logo, is in great condition, all original, and unpolished. It even has a neat engraving on the caseback, signed “Our Best. The Cork”. Don’t sleep on this one: they don’t come up for sale very often, and when they do, they are snatched up in a flash.
