Up for grabs is a Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner, circa 1979, the “no-date” Reference 94010. Tudor is better known as the “sister” brand to Rolex – originally formed as a more affordable alternative to that of a Rolex. In recent years, Tudor has exploded in popularity amongst collectors, with prices often eclipsing those of their Rolex counterparts. This example is a highly sought-after “Snowflake” Submariner, so-called for the snowflake-like appearance of the hour hand, and the fact that it does not have a “date” function, giving the dial a clean look.
This Tudor Submariner is in excellent vintage condition. The case does not appear polished, with original bevels still visible. The dial is in great condition, with no flaws visible. The original tritium lume is present on the dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow color. The watch comes equipped on an original Rolex Oyster flip-lock 93150 bracelet, with 580 endlinks, with 11 full links and no stretch.
