Tudor Ranger

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an exceedingly rare – almost mythical – Tudor Ranger circa 1966, which was re-released by Tudor in recent years.  This watches have become an enigma amongst collectors, as they are increasingly difficult to find, large in part due to the fact that they are very often faked, and very few genuine examples exist nowadays.  The Ranger was produced only for a short time in the 1960s by Tudor, and came in a no-date format, as well as the present date model (featuring a roulette alternating red/black date wheel).  This Tudor Ranger is in great vintage condition.  The case does not show signs of polishing, with normal wear over the years. The dial is gorgeous, with no visible flaws; likewise for the original tritium lume, matching with a cream color on both dial and hands.  Finally, the watch comes on its original Rolex folded-link 7835-19 bracelet, with 261 endlinks; the bracelet is dated to 1970, and has 13 full links, with moderate stretch.
