Up for grabs is an extremely rare Ulysse Nardin time-only watch, circa 1940s, allegedly built for military use, housed in a large, 38mm steel case. This watch features an black gilt dial, with oversized radium arabic numerals. Only a handful of these watches have surfaced over the years and are known to exist.
This Ulysse Nardin is in great vintage condition. The case has been polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs. The dial is very well-preserved, with no major damage and only natural aging, giving the watch a dark brown appearance under certain light. The original radium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a pale yellow color.
This is an exceedingly rare watch, and is almost impossible to find – once it is gone, another may not surface again for sale for years to come.
