This is a rare Longines Calatrava, fitted in a rare, oversized 38mm case, with fixed bars, not often used by Longines. According to Longines’ records, the watch delivered in February of 1949 to the company Girod, which was their agent at the time for Spain.
The watch is in good vintage condition. The case does not show signs of overpolishing, and the lugs are thick and even, with beveled edges still present. The two-tone dial shows the typical bubbling/pitting, consistent with these Longines of the 1940s.
