Rolex “Pave 18248 Green Carousel” Day-Date

Up for grabs is one of the most striking and interesting Day-Dates from Rolex that we have had for sale in quite some time – a reference 18248, circa 1988, with a factory bark finish bezel and bracelet.  However, this is no ordinary bark finish Day-Date: this particular example has a bezel set with diamonds aligning with the indices (usually seen on the reference 18308, making the present example a likely custom order by the client), and a pave “carousel” dial that has a green enamel inner ring.  As rare as this variant is, the condition of this Day-Date just puts this example wildy over-the-top.  Clearly very sparsely worn, the case is unpolished and razor sharp, and has developed a warm, rich patina.  Lastly, the bracelet has no stretch, and will fit an approximate 7.25″ wrist (5 removable screws).
