Description
Up for grabs is a very interesting Day-Date from Rolex – a reference 18248, circa 1994, with a factory bark finish bezel and bracelet. However, this is no ordinary bark finish Day-Date: this particular example has been fit with a factory Onyx stone dial. Further, this particular example comes with its original Rolex Presidential box and a photocopy of the original Certificate of Origin, which specifically mentions the Onyx dial; additionally, a photocopy of the original receipt is included, showing the original date of sale in March of 1994 in Miami, Florida for $11,950.
The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is excellent. The case remains unpolished and sharp, with most of the original caseback sticker still present. Further, the original Onyx dial remains in great shape, with no visible hairlines or cracks. The bracelet remains tight, with no stretch, and will fit an approximate 7-7.1″ wrist, with 4 removable screws.
