SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is an incredible example of a Reference 1675, Rolex “GMT-Master”, with a rare MK2 (Mark 2) dial, only used for a short period of time in the early 1970s. The serial of this GMT-Master is 31xxxxx, dating this watch to 1971. Additionally, the watch is fitted (and original to the watch) a rare “mega fat font” bezel, arguably the most desirable bezel variant out there.
The watch itself is in excellent vintage condition. The case is unpolished and sharp, with thick and even lugs, and nicely defined edges. The dial is devoid of any chips, scratches, or flaws, and is in perfect condition. The original tritium lume is still present on both the dial and hands, aged to a lovely yellow color. Finally, the original “redback” mega fat font Pepsi bezel insert is in nice condition, with a nice even fade set in.
The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Swiss Jubilee bracelet, dated to 1972, with light stretch, and fitting an approximate 7″ wrist.
